Money Maker - The Potential Of Review Sites

Topic: The Potential Of Review Sites

We have all heard of review sites, and with the right tactics they can prove to be a great way to make affiliate sales.

With all the current ‘hype’ about the credit crunch and the global recession, I am aiming to list a number of good, steady ways to make money online.

In today’s post I am going to talk about creating your very own review page that people can come to and ultimately purchase a product through your affiliate link. So firstly we need to create some form of page that we can put content on and within that content place our affiliate links for the product we are promoting.

Now, I would recommend creating a blog. A blog is a great way to share your thoughts, opinions and generally interact with other people. You can create your own blog on your server but I would recommend signing up to one of the free ‘1click set up’ blog websites. Two great examples are:

These websites are great, and within minutes you can be posting your very own content on your very own blog.

Now you have your blog set up, you need to find a product that you would like to promote and you need to write a review about it.

To find a good product to promote, simply head over to Clickbank (sign up if you do not already have an account) and find a product that you feel appeals to you, has a good gravity source and has an attractive, well written sales page. No matter how good the product may be, if the sales page looks like a dog’s dinner and doesn’t have a coherent writing style then there is absolutely no point in promoting it as you will not get sales.

Now, what you have to remember here is you are trying to sell the product, you need to make your review good in order for people to want to buy the product. Basically you have to create a mini sales page for that product in order to entice potential customers in.

Read the sales page for the product so you can get a very good idea on what you can write on your review page. DO NOT COPY what’s on the sales page, that’s no good and you could be breaching copyright. You need to be unique and creative. You need to get the reader to be instantly drawn in to your review in order for them to carry on reading.

An example of a good headline would be:

“Product X … The TRUTH Revealed!”

Now you need to start on writing your review. What I would recommend here is a good old mind map. Read the sales page carefully, read all of the testimonials on the sales page and do a bit of background research on the product by doing a Google search on it. You may find other review articles on the product, if so read them but DO NOT COPY the content, as I mentioned above, be unique and creative. To make your article more attractive, include the product’s eCover in the middle of your article, this will break up the text and make your article look more appealing. Like this …

Finally at the end of your review you need to include the link to the product. You can get your affiliate link for your chosen product by clicking “create hoplink” when you are inside the Clickbank marketplace. However, to generate more sales do not simply place that link at the end of your review article, in order to gain more sales you need to cloak that link. You can find out how to cloak a link by grabbing your free copy of Resource Report Profits, the step by step guide to link cloaking can be found on pages 13 - 18.

That’s it. Now you can go away and create your very own review article and place it into your very own blog.

After you have written your review for your chosen product, write another. Implement the power of the famous marketing phrase “Wash, Rinse and Repeat“.

In the next blog post I will talk about how you can generate traffic to that blog page in order to exploit your page’s maximum potential. Get creating folks :-)

Until next time,

Tom
